The Story Behind The Little Dog Laughed

Founded in 2008 by Australian designer Kylie Platt, and the little dog laughed grew from a lifelong love of childhood, imagination and creating things by hand.

Inspired by memories of learning to sew, knit and crochet with her Nana, Kylie set out to create soft toys with the warmth and character of the treasured toys she remembered from childhood.

Today, each little friend is thoughtfully designed with beautiful fabrics, natural fibres where possible and carefully finished details, with a focus on creating toys that feel soft, familiar and made to last.

They aren't designed to be loved for just a little while. They're created to become part of childhood — held, taken on adventures and perhaps one day passed down to another little pair of hands.
